School holidays

We've seen more of Abi and Ella than usual this week thanks to school holidays.

We were even able to entertain Abi on her own all day on Wednesday. Her choice was to spend the morning at the Dinosaur Museum at Gold Creek.

Abi's an expert on dinosaurs and told us lots of interesting facts during our visit.

But you could tell the Gift Shop and the playground area were her favourites on our visit today …….

An afternoon at "our place" rounded off a very successful day…… running wild in Hassett Park …..

 Getting as dizzy as ……….

and finishing off with a chocolate muffin at our new local "Knead Bakery" …...
This afternoon we walked up the road to the Australian War Memorial to take a peek at the big new "Honour Their Spirits" installation in the grounds of the Museum. The installation is comprised of 62,000 handmade woollen poppies in memory of the 62,000 Australian soldiers who lost their lives in WW1. This amazing and rather beautiful work was opened earlier this month and will stay in place until the 11th November, the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day.
