We know that Sydney's fireworks display for New Year is a sight to behold - but here in backyard Canberra we can do a pretty good sparkler show to welcome the new year.
While the girls were away in Coogee for a few days Rob worked on some new "play tables" for Abi - as part of her sand pit play area. He got them just about finished before they arrived back in Canberra on New Year's eve - minus the final sand and coat of paint. We thought Abi might use the tables/platforms for playing shops and for cooking things - her favourite sand pit activities. However her first delighted response was to use the tables for twirling and jumping and for leaping into and out of the Japanese maple tree shading her sand pit - YIKES!!
