The extended Canberra family celebrated Joshy's birthday at the weekend. It was a really lively gathering with everyone catching up on summer holiday travel tales and then a long session of reminiscing (and laughter) about Joshy's 40 years worth of stories.
A high point came at the end of our meal when Ella unveiled her surprise birthday cake (all her own work) for Josh: modelled on the rotar for his beloved (now departed) Mazda RX7 - just perfection! - and a huge (delicious) surprise for Josh.
These girls both wield chef's knives with complete assurance - but it takes concentration!
Angus and Ollie are great party guests too - very ready to shoot hoops, laugh at jokes, join in the stirring and kick soccer goals...…...
