After a huge few days in Sydney, last week seems a long time ago. It was our wedding anniversary on Wednesday 8th and Rob's birthday 3 days later. We celebrated with the gorgeous girls at a long lunch at the recently refurbished Double Shot at Deakin.
Abi was in fine form and even kept her Bali hair slide in long enough for me to take her photo with her hair out of her eyes. She usually prefers to rip her hair bits out and carry them around in her hand and look at the world through her fringe (which is being allowed to grow out!)
Ella had gone to a lot of trouble to dress up for the occasion - matching her "jewels" to that cute new Zara dress. While we waited for our lunch to arrive I set her to work decorating my new 2014 paper diary (Moleskin of course) - something she does for me every year.
Ella and I have started a French knitting project together too and Abi managed to put her mark on our work done so far, when she had the opportunity.
Double Shot is a great environment for the girls: very laid back , lots of space, a resident cat (Mee-ow Mee-ow says Abi), and quite a few other young kids about in the open air courtyard - for diversion - oh yes and a pastry case full of yummy desserts.
Before we left for Sydney on Friday we squeezed in a movie night on Thursday night and a wonderful dinner with friends at the newly opened Parlour Wine Room at New Acton - our new favourite restaurant. We're having a wonderful January!!
